Amount of monacolins in each capsule has reduced so significantly

Very disappointed to note the amount of monacolins in each capsule has reduced so significantly since my last order with Sona.

Dear Michael. Thank you for your review. EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) long standing recommendation of 10mg of Monacolins intake to reduce/maintain normal cholesterol level has not been withdrawn. What changed is that now, EU regulations restrict the sale of Monacolins as a ‘food supplement’ containing only a maximum of 3mg per capsule.

Previously our Red Yeast Rice capsules contained 5mg and two capsules were recommended to be taken to meet the 10mg recommendation. Sona Red Yeast Rice capsules still provide the highest permissable level of Monacolins per capsule on the market.

Taking it a few months to see if it can help benefit my cholesterol levels. Will be going for a cholesterol test in a few months so fingers crossed it has improved! Very easy to take the capsules and no side effects so if it helps then it is perfect- beats taking statins!
